Now my heart is green as weeds grown to outlive their season...

The temperature got up to seventy-five degrees today! I had to reapply sunscreen. I had my first iced coffee of the year. I had to go in the house to cool off. Hurrah! Holy smokes, it's awesome.

(TJ Maxx top, Tulle shorts from ModCloth, Target tights, ModCloth heels)

Even though I generally don't wear pants I do think shorts are necessary for bike riding, skateboarding, tree climbing, hiking, etc. in warmer weather. However, I have never been a fan of short shorts. This pair by Tulle is a great length, and they're not too clingy. In short (I'll be here all night folks), they're the perfect pair!

This was last time I wore this shirt. It's so light and loose that I figured it would be perfect for a hot, lazy afternoon as well.

The downside to this amazing weather is that my allergies are still going haywire. Awful allergies + a busy weekend = not getting around to putting up my clothes to swap/sell. But I will do it as soon as possible!

Did every one have a good weekend?

  1. Seventy-five degrees...hold on a minute..SEVENTY - FIVE DEGREES?! Good grief woman...send some of that over here please and thank you very much (hee)!

Awww...you have to deal with allergies acting up too! I feel your pain...I get the added dry/watery eye combo to make life that much more swell! If it's any consolation you look great, love the heels and Tulle Clothing always have such great stuff (like those shorts).
I want to wear shorts, but I'm always so super paranoid about my legs. It took forever for me to truly love and appreciate dresses...I wonder when I'll finally get around to wearing nice stylish shorts. I'll stop whining..again you look great.

  2. Mo, it was a fluke but a very welcome fluke! I'm guessing we'll be back into the high 50's - low 60's after this. But I'll see what I can do about sending it your way heheheh

Allergies are so evil (EVIL!), aren't they? Ugh. I'm sorry you have to suffer through them as well!

Auh, thank you so much! I'm extremely self-conscious about my legs (my thighs mostly as I was a gymnast and soccer player as a kid) as well so I try to find shorts that are a bit longer and looser-fitting. I tend to love Tulle shorts and, believe it or not, Forever21 usually has some great pairs. They make life so much easier on those disgustingly hot and humid summer days. You always look fantastic and I'm sure you have lovely legs to boot (I swear I don't try to be so cheesy. It just happens)! You should definitely give them a go :)

  3. It hit 80 in NY yesterday and I was sooooo loving the weather. Today it's 60 and I'm pissed! Oh and yes, as much as I wanted to be outside yesterday, I paid for it with multiple sneezing fits! My allergies seem to have shifted over the years from itchy, red, watery eyes to violent fits of sneezing which I must say I prefer! Loving that top btw and the shorts are a great cut!

  6. Amy, what a tease that was, right?! This dreary rubbish has got to go. Hm, sneezing fits DO sound preferable! Thank you :)
